Purpose of Job / Job Summary : Plan, organise, implement, monitor and take corrective action in consultation with the Project Manager on all delegated site related matters.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

• Prepare works programme for submission.
• Report to the Project Manager the progress of the works in relation to the approved works programme and to review the works programme from time to time to achieve the objective of the contract.
• Ensure that the contractual obligation are preserved and informed the Project Director of any deviation from the contract.
• Ensure cost control of site works and identify the variation to the contract that involve claims both from the sub-contractors and client.
• Liaise with Senior Quantity Surveyor on contractual matters when necessary.
• Liaise with Design Coordinator on all design matters.
• Liaise with authorities if necessary in the absence of the Project Manager.
• Ensure quality control of documentation as the designated Quality Engineer under the company's ISO 9000 programme.

Qualifications :  Recognised degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture/ Structural Engineering

Experience     :  7 - 10 years working experience

Personal Qualities      :     

• Good organisation, excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self motivator and achievement oriented.
• Able to lead a project team and sub-contractor.
• Keeping up with the latest development in construction technology, statutory requirements, design concept, building contract, building materials and other buildings and construction industry related issues
